Hi guys, long time no speak!
I've been really busy setting up "Virtual Training" programs. Virtual Training is for people who don't live close enough to me for personal training but would like help with motivation, diet, and exercise via the Internet, Phone and Skype! I have two V.T programs lasting either 2 weeks or 4 weeks depending on what you're looking for. I'm halfway through my test run and things are going well. If you think you might be able to benefit from my Virtual Training program them get in touch for more details!
My first Couch to 5km jogging program starts on Monday 11th of March outside of Scotswood Sports Centre at 8pm. The program will last for 10 weeks to help beginners go from thinking about running a 5km to actually running a 5km! It is based on a walk - run plan with the help of a Personal Trainer (me) to motivate and to give any advice regarding speed, pacing, injury ect. I have had a great response when advertising this and can't wait to start!
Finally I would like to finish with a few diet myths.
1) Carbohydrates make you fat - In reality carbs don't make you fat, they are used as energy by the body, keep an eye on which carbohydrates you're eating and how often.
2) Eating lots makes you fat - Actually, the more muscle you have the more fuel (food) your body requires for daily activities.
3) Fat makes you fat - there are different kinds of fat, good and bad, some of which are required for a healthy diet BUT the main culprit for "fat" is in fact SUGAR!
My healthy living tip - maintain a varied diet, full of colour from fruit and vegetables and limit sugary products such as fizzy pop, sweets and cakes.
